TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS
- All USBC tournament rules and regulations will govern:
DS USBC Youth Members Only.
- Highest league average (Min. 9 games) as of February 20,
2007. If bowlers have no average as of 2/20/2007 they will bowl scratch in
Division A. Please forward all average sheets with entry form and payment.
Bowlers who bowl in more than one league must check multi league and list all
leagues on back or bottom of the entry form and provide average sheets for all
leagues. No entries accepted without payment and average sheets.
- Division classifications based on total team entry
average and bowlers will bowl three games in each event.
- Singles average 90% of 920 for handicap.
- All errors must be reported within 24 hours. The
tournament director will be the final authority. Errors in handicap or
division will be automatically corrected.
- Bowlers for team can enter as multiple times as long as
there are no more than 2 bowlers from the same team bowling together. Bowlers
who bowl more than once will have their 1st scores counted for
all-events. Late bowlers receive zero (0) for frames missed. Once a
replacement has bowled the first ball the substitution stands.
- Awards 1 in 10 or major fraction thereof. 1st
place minimum with 2nd place being a certificate. All-events 1st
place scratch and handicap in each division (boy or girl). All-events can
only receive 1 award. Scratch all-events takes precedence over handicap.
- A state scholarship will be awarded for one (1) scratch
and one (1) handicap all events winner in each of the 5 divisions regardless
of sex to the highest bowler for a total of 5 scratch and 5 handicap
all-events winners.
- No smoking, no playing of video or hand held games
during competition, no eating or drinking in the bowling enclosure.
- Dress Code: Participants in the Tournament must be
neat in appearance and meet the following dress code rules:
- Shirts – Athletes must wear shirts that have a
collar similar to golf or polo shirts. (Tee-shirts from a youth bowling
program or USBC are acceptable)
- Shirts must cover the entire midriff area or be
tucked in.
- Shorts and Skirts are allowed but must be no
shorter then 2 inches above the knee.
- Advertisements on apparel or bowling equipment
depicting alcohol, tobacco, and gambling or inappropriate language/gestures
during tournament competition will not be allowed.
- Pants must be worn at the waist or held there with
a belt. Torn or cut jeans will not be allowed.
- No hats of any kind are permitted. (Unless for
religious reasons)
- All clothing apparel must be the correct clothing
size. (Ex if wear med shirt do not wear xxxl shirt)
Bowlers will be required to
change if attire is deemed inappropriate by tournament officials. Tournament
official’s decision will be final.
11. All matters not covered by these rules and regulations
shall be determined by the tournament committee. The penalty for any
infraction is disqualification from the tournament.
