DSUSBCWBA TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS
Bowler must be sanctioned by USBC. She must be a member of the Wilmington USBC Women's Bowling Association (WUSBCWBA) or the Lower Delaware USBC Women's Bowling Association (LDUSBCWBA).
All bowlers must report, prepared to bowl, thirty minutes before scheduled time. Only the bowlers and the scorers are permitted in the bowling enclosures. A bowler arriving late will be allowed to bowl. Her score is to start with the frame in which she is ready to bowl, receiving zero for any missed frames. If one bowler is late for the doubles event, the entrant present will bowl her singles event first.
Bowlers must use highest 05-06 LDUSBCWBA or WUSBCWBA final sanctioned regular or substitute league average for 21 games or more. The official 05-06 average book for both the LDWBA and WWBA will be used for highest average verification. If NO established book average, the highest current LDUSBCWBA or WUSBCWBA winter average as of 12/15/06, verified by league secretary. Average sheet should be sent with entry. Any bowler without an established LDUSBCWBA or WUSBCWBA average will bowl scratch (220). USBC Rule 319(a, item 2) (10 pin higher) will not be used. Tournament Secretary will adjust averages per book and internet confirmation. SUMMER averages are not considered to be eligible averages for this tournament.
An entrant may participate in the team event more than once; however, at least two members of the team must change. Bowlers entered in the doubles event must bowl the singles event. Bowlers may participate only once in the doubles/singles events. A bowler participating more than once in the team event must use her first team score for All-Events competition. Singles will be bowled on the same pair of lanes as Doubles.
List bowlers in the order in which they are to bowl. Substitutes must bowl in the position vacated by the original entrant. A substitute will not be required to reimburse the entry fee paid nor shall the substitute be expected to give the original entrant any prize money or trophy she may win.
Handicap will be included in All-Events total. Bowlers entered in the team, doubles, and singles events may participate in All-Events by paying the Optional All-Events Fee prior to bowling first event. All-Events prize fees will be returned 100% -- at least a 1 in 5 return rate will be used. A bowler who places first in the All-Events but who has not paid the extra fee is eligible to receive only the Championship Award for the All-Events.
The Tournament Committee may refuse to permit any team or individual to bowl if it is determined that there was an illegal or unethical entry.
Any appeal or protest concerning scoring shall be made in writing to the Tournament Secretary and must be submitted no later than twenty-four hours after the game has been played, briefly stating the grounds of appeal or protest. The action of the Board of Directors shall be final.
Entry fee for this tournament is $17.00 per event (Bowling - $6.75; Expenses - $3.50; Prizes - $6.75). The prize fund will be returned 100% with at least the ratio of 1 in 5. Optional All-Events will be $4.00 and the prize ratio will be at - least 1-in 5.
All prize money paid out will be based on handicap scores. The DWBA will present a President's Award of $20.00 for the high scratch 3 game series in each division. They will also present a Secretary's Award of $20.00 for the high scratch single game in each division. Champions will receive $10.00 per person in addition to their prize money. In the event of a tie for first place in any division, co-champions will be declared and additional awards will be given.
SMOKERS: You will be permitted to smoke outside, HOWEVER, if you are not ready to bowl, you will receive ZERO for any frame(s) missed. This includes between games and between the doubles/singles events.
The acceptance of this entry by the Tournament Secretary constitutes an agreement by all entrants to abide by all rules and regulations prescribed by the USBC and the Tournament Committee.
PRIZE CHECKS NOT CASHED WITHIN 60 DAYS OF ISSUE WILL BE NULL AND VOID.
The entrants whose names appear hereon or their authorized replacements hereby agree that the Delaware Women's Bowling Association, its officers and agents shall be liable only to the extent of returning entry fees if and when these entrants shall be prevented from bowling any schedule change or premature termination of the tournament, which may be brought about by war, national emergency or emergencies of causes relating thereto or resulting there from fires, strikes, lockouts, labor difficulties or other causes beyond the control of the DWBA
