RULES AND REGULATIONS
1.
This Tournament is open only to members of the LDBA Association, Inc. and
Wilmington Bowling Association who observe the Rules of the United States
Bowling Congress.
2.
Bowlers may enter more than once in the team event subject to the following
conditions:
a.
A
bowler participating more than once in a team event must count the FIRST SCORE
BOWLED toward his/her all events total.
b.
No more than two (2) bowlers may compete as part of a team more than once.
3.
Non-members living within the jurisdiction of the LDBA who are not members of
another association may enter by paying the USBC unattached membership fee of
$18.00.
4.
Each entrant may bowl in doubles and singles events only once, and each entry
must include both events.
5.
USBC Championship chevrons will be awarded to the handicap winners in each
event, each class.
6.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners shown on the Prize Lists on a
handicap basis in each event.
Prize Fees returned 100% -Minimum Prize Ratio, Team, Doubles
& Singles 1 in 10 entries.
All Events will be paid 1 in 10 (For those entering this
optional events and paying the associated $5.00 entry fee.)

All team captains must check in team lineups at least 30 minutes prior to squad
time.

8.
OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT AVERAGE:
Handicapping will be based on the highest 2005-06 Winter
Season Final Average. Individuals must report every league as well as
averages in leagues sanctioned by USBC in
other associations. A minimum of 21 games in one league sanctioned by USBC
through the LDBA is required to qualify entry. If entrant does not have
an average for the 2005-06 season, use current season (2006-07) highest average
as of April 10, 21 games minimum. All others bowl scratch. Handicap: 90% of 220
scratch, no minus. Computed on a 3 game basis. Errors or violations of these
rules will subject entrant to forfeiture of entry fee paid and disqualification
from Prize Lists.
9.
Official League Average Sheets:
Final Average Sheets on file with the
LDBA and Wilmington Bowling Association, will be official averages for this
tournament. League
secretaries should make note of this and make sure to file their league's final
average sheet with the LDBA for the current season (2006-07) by April 10, 2007 .
10.
USBC Rule 31 9d regarding tournament winnings will apply in this tournament.
USBC Rule 319a-2 regarding increase in average will apply in
this tournament.
Averages
for all winners will be verified before any awards and prize winnings will be
paid. Failure to use the proper average or make a correction prior to completion of first- game of a series
shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower than actual average or base
prize winnings on submitted average if it is higher.
11.
Familiarize yourself with the rerating requirements of USBC Rule 31ge.
12.
Report all substitutions to Tournament Manager's office at least 30 minutes
prior to squad time.
13.
In case of a protest, call the Supervisor or Tournament Manager at once.
14.
REFUNDS & SCHEDULING.
a)
No team or individual shall be entitled to a refund after the entry blank and
fees have been received and definite dates assigned.
b)
No scheduling changes will be made, unless for an emergency, once confirmation
notice has been sent to team captain.
15.
A
substitution made for nine games will be allowed provided such substitution is
made before bowling any event. Such legal substitution will then be allowed to
cash for all-events prizes, provided such all-events have been paid.
16.
Automatic scorer will be used as the official score sheet. Bowlers will certify
their scores as being correct at the completion of each series. This will be the
only opportunity to correct any scoring errors as the printouts will be
discarded.
17.
Tournament Dress Code:
a)
No jeans that have holes or that are tom will be permitted.
b)
No Hats or Caps are to be worn during competition.
c)
No gym shorts, cut offs or bathing suits. Dress shorts will be acceptable.
d)
No Tank Tops or torn T-Shirts will be permitted. Dress Shirts, Golf Shirts,
Bowling Shirts (including team T-Shirts), or any other shirt with a collar will
be acceptable.
